Serial fraudsters facing dozens of charges

A pair of serial fraudsters are facing more than 60 charges — after mounties busted a credit card theft ring.

37-year old Jason Scott White and 38-year old Tara Maria Zerr are accused of breaking into and stealing credit cards from several dozen cars in the months of March and April.

North Vancouver RCMP Corporal Richard de Jong says in total, the frauds add up to more than $ 30,000.

“Different merchandise, clothing, fuel, tires, gift cards, electronics, computers…”

The pair was tracked down and arrested in Port Coquitlam — and a related vehicle was seized.

De Jong says it’s likely more charges will be filed as more victims come forward.
