Surrey Mayor meets with anxious residents

Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts met with members of the Panorama Ridge Residents Association Wednesday afternoon.

They represent people living in the Colebrook Road area where two more bodies were found on the road earlier this morning — bringing the body total to four since January.

She says they spoke about measures to make resident’s feel less anxious.

“Putting some cameras in their and some lighting and doing some of those things.  RCMP have already increased some patrols in that area so they’ll continue to do that and ramp that up”

Watts says while there isn’t an instant solution she hopes such measures giver residents a sense of confidence that they aren’t alone in this situation.
