Three sent to hospital after vehicle hits pedestrian on Stanley Park Causeway

A pedestrian is in critical condition after a single vehicle crash on the Stanley Park Causeway just before 8 o’clock Friday.

Vancouver Assistant Fire Chief Joe Foster says when crews arrived on scene, the vehicle had rolled into the park.

Two people in the vehicle were taken to Saint Paul’s Hospital in stable condition.

Foster says the pedestrian was rushed to Vancouver General Hospital.

“My understanding is it’s serious injuries.  They don’t usually send a firefighter in the back of the ambulance unless it’s a more serious case and they have to have more hands on the patient.”

Foster says Vancouver Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
