Tran family helped by S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

Just one day after a trust fund was announced for the family of a man gunned down last month, there has already been lots of response from the public.

The fund was set up to help the family of Huong Andy Tran, who was killed May 27th at Burnaby’s Royal Oak Sushi House.

Police say Angus David Mitchell shot Tran and one other person at the restaurant.

Thomas Tam is the CEO of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. which announced the trust fund Monday, “We haven’t received any formal report from the bank branches but from our four major service centres, we see this extraordinary response from the community.”

Tam says at just one centre, during a morning session, more than 400 dollars was donated.

Donations may be made at any TD Bank, financial institution, or S.U.C.C.E.S.S. service centres.
