VPD Detective unaware of Pickton connections

The lawyer for the families of 25 victims from the Downtown Eastside is trying to prove the arrest of the serial killer Robert Pickton was delayed because he may have been “connected.”

Cameron Ward made the suggestion while cross-examining Vancouver Police Detective Lori Shenher at the Missing Women Inquiry.

Shenher said that she has “no knowledge” of any criminal connections to Pickton.

The Missing Women Inquiry has already heard that Pickton’s family was associated with the Hells Angels motorcycle club, a group well known to the RCMP and Vancouver Police.
