Alejandro Inarritu To Helm “Birdman”

“Babel” and “Amores Perros” director Alejandro González Iñárritu is next set to direct the comedy “Birdman.”

The story follows an actor who once played an iconic superhero. Now, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself in the days leading up to the opening of a Broadway play.

Iñárritu co-wrote the script with Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris, and Armando Bo. Iñárritu, Robert Graf and John Lesher will produce.

Filming will take place in a single location over the span of three days. Shooting kicks off in March
