Summit Entertainment has scored screen rights to John Huddy’s 2008 non-fiction book “Storming Las Vegas” reports Deadline.
The story follows Jose Vigoa, a Cuban-born commando veteran of the Soviet army who found his way to Vegas in the 1990s at a time when the town was trying to become squeaky clean.
Vigoa and his crew then embarked on a violent 16-month crime wave targeting some prominent casinos while a veteran Vegas police officer was tasked with both tracking him down and burying any potential media stories.
Antoine Fuqua is attached to direct while Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce.
