Gerard Butler is set to replace Eric Bana in the diamond-heist thriller “Brilliant” at Lakeshore Entertainment reports Variety.
Gillian Gorfil’s script follows a small-time criminal who partners with a female thief to pull off a daring diamond heist.
Filmmaker Robert Luketic, who previously worked with Butler on “The Ugly Truth”, is helming the project which Gorfil, Sidney Kimmel, Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg will produce.
A female lead is now being sought for the project. Shooting kicks off this May in Boston.
