Casting: Galactica, NCIS, Vicious, Demons

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome
Syfy ditched the pilot a while back and has opted instead to air this “Battlestar Galactica” prequel spin-off series as a telemovie. We’ve been waiting sometime to hear about a more concrete air date, but today they surprised us.

Turns out the pilot will first debut online via Machinma Prime’s Youtube Channel as a series of 10-12 minute chapters, the first one to be released this Friday (Nov 9th). The Syfy airing early next year will then be followed by a Blu-ray/DVD/VOD release. Check out the promo trailer below:

NCIS
CBS is looking into a third possible “NCIS” series following a mobile team of agents who live and work together as they go across the country to solve crimes.

The characters will be introduced in an upcoming two-part episode of “NCIS: LA”. [Source: The Live Feed]

Vicious
Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi is set to star in the just green lit gay sitcom “Vicious” for ITV. Originally titled “Vicious Old Queens”, the pair play two bitter and ageing partners living in a small flat in London’s theater district.

Their world is turned inside out when a young man arrives on the scene as their new upstairs neighbor. Frances De La Tour also stars. [Source: Variety]

Da Vinci’s Demons
Another promo today, this one the first trailer for Starz’ period mystery thriller “Da Vinci’s Demons” starring the hunky Tom Riley as Leonardo Da Vinci. That show is slated to premiere sometime in the Spring. Unfortunately for some stupid reason, Starz has geoblocked the promo so only people located within the United States can see it.
