“Homeland” star Damian Lewis will play the lead in the Adam Smith-directed short “Desire” which will serve as an ad for luxury brand Jaguar. Jordi Molla and Shannyn Sossamon will also star.
Lewis plays a car deliveryman who runs into trouble after a chance encounter with a mysterious, young woman (Sossamon) in the middle of a lawless desert. Filming will take place next week in Chile’s Atacama Desert. [Source: FType.com]

Cate Blanchett is in talks to play the evil stepmother in Mark Romanek’s live-action “Cinderella” project at Disney Pictures.

Brett Dalton (“Killing Lincoln”) has been cast as Agent Grant Ward in Marvel Studios’ upcoming “S.H.I.E.L.D.” television series.

“Prison Break” actor Amaury Nolasco is set to play a Dominican mob kingpin in John Stockwell’s crime thriller “In the Blood” starring Diego Boneta and Gina Carano.
The story follows a woman whose husband goes missing during their Caribbean vacation and her drive to take down the men she thinks are responsible. Filming is currently under way in Puerto Rico. [Source: Variety]
