TV News: Da Vinci, Noir, 666, Treme

Da Vinci’s Demons
British hunk Tom Riley (“Lost in Austen,” “I Want Candy,” “Monroe”) has landed the lead in Starz’s new original historical fantasy series “Da Vinci’s Demons” from David S. Goyer and BBC Worldwide Prods.

This tells the story of the world’s greatest genius during his turbulent youth in Renaissance Florence. [Source: Deadline]

L.A. Noir
Jon Bernthal, who plays sheriff deputy Shane Walsh in “The Walking Dead”, is in early negotiations with TNT to tackle the lead role of L.A. cop Joe Teague in Frank Darabont’s new drama “L.A. Noir”. [Source: Ace Showbiz]

666 Park Ave.
ABC has picked up to pilot “666 Park Ave.”, an hourlong drama from the producers of “The Vampire Diaries” and “Gossip Girl”.

The series is based on the books by Gabriella Pierce about a midwest couple who become resident managers of an NYC Upper East Side apartment building – one where several tenants have made Faustian deals. [Source: THR]

Treme
