Early newspaper reports indicate that “X-Men: First Class” and “Atonement” actor James McAvoy is the favorite to land the lead role in the Elton John biopic “Rocketman”.

Man of Steel
Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer (“Angels and Demons,” “Munich”) has stepped in to take on the role of Superman’s Kryptonian mother Lara in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” at Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Films.
Zurer is replacing Julia Ormond in the role, no word as to why Ormond left the project. Zurer will start filming her scenes this week. [Source: Deadline]
One Shot
Alexia Fast has joined the cast of the crime thriller “One Shot” at Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions.
