Casting: Speedman, Vikander, Bernthal

Queen of the Night
Mireille Enos and Scott Speedman are set to star with Ryan Reynolds in Atom Egoyan’s psychological thriller “Queen Of The Night” which shoots early next year in Ontario.

Reynolds plays a father who discovers a series of disturbing clues eight years after his daughter is abducted, a trail that leads him to believe the now 17-year-old girl is alive. Enos will play his wife, Speedman will play the cop searching the missing daughter. [Source: Deadline]

Untitled Wikileaks Project
Swedish actress Alicia Vikander is in negotiations to star in the Bill Condon-directed Julian Assange biopic at DreamWorks Pictures. Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Bruhl star in the film which begins shooting next year.

The story revolves around the Wikileaks founder who launched the whistleblowing site in 2006 and began antagonizing world governments by leaking embarrassing diplomatic cables and other state secrets. Vikander will play Bruhl’s co-worker and eventual love interest. [Source: Variety]

Grudge Match
Jon Bernthal (“The Walking Dead,” “The Wolf of Wall Street”) has joined the cast of Peter Segal’s boxing movie “Grudge Match” at Warner Bros. Pictures. Shooting begins early next year in Louisiana.

Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone play retired fighters who step into the ring one last time to settle an old score. Bernthal will play De Niro’s son who is conflicted about training the estranged father he has resented for years. [Source: Variety]
