Cruise, Morrison, 300 Sequel Confirmations

Though these have already been reported on as rumors, today all three bits of news have been confirmed.

One Shot
Tom Cruise is now confirmed to be playing Lee Child’s iconic Jack Reacher character in an adaptation of the ninth novel in that series “One Shot”.

In the story Reacher is investigating a sniper who has been captured after five murders, and learns that there may be more to the case.

Christopher McQuarrie directs the project which begins shooting in Pittsburgh this Fall. [Source: ]

What to Expect When You’re Expecting
Matthew Morrison (“Glee”) has been linked for some time but now he’s confirmed to be joining the cast of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” for Lionsgate.

Morrison will play the partner of Cameron Diaz’s character on a celebrity dance show and later decides to have a baby with her.

Kirk Jones is directing and shooting kicks off this summer. [Source: Variety]

300: Battle of Artemisia
“Smart People” director Noam Murro is getting an official offer this week to direct “300: Battle of Artemisia” for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Murro looks to have beaten out Jaume Collet-Serra who was also linked to the sequel but has now been offered the “Akira” remake. [Source: Heat Vision]
