The first trailer of Sacha Gervasi’s “Hitchcock” has gone online and it’s a treat for fans of the legendary master of suspense. The film’s story deals with the making of “Psycho” and the struggle the director went through with Paramount executives, the press, and society to get the thing made.
Most surprising is the tone, the trailer playing up some of the more comedic aspects of the story but in a tasteful way. While the fat suit on Hopkins is a bit distracting at first, it’s more than made up for by the fun sparing with Helen Mirren as his wife.
