Harrison Ford is being courted to play Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey in Brian Helgeland’s “42” for Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures says Deadline.
The story will chronicle how Rickey and Jackie Robinson eradicated baseball segregation in 1947. Helgeland also penned the script.
Various other actors have been linked to the part, including Robert Redford, and now it’s reportedly “Ford’s role if he wants it”. The actor however has been linked to numerous other projects including the film adaptation of “Ender’s Game”.
