“Jersey Boys” Shifts Studios To Warners

Despite being moved from Sony Pictures to Warner Bros. Pictures, “Iron Man” helmer Jon Favreau remains attached to direct the film version of the Tony-winning musical “Jersey Boys” says The Hollywood Reporter.

Graham King’s GK Films label recently signed a first-look, one year deal with Warners which includes ‘Jersey’. Warners aggressively pursued the project back in 2010 before Sony nabbed it.

Now as a split has developed between King and Sony, Warners was able to lure the project back to them via this short-term deal. GK Films is reportedly still smarting from financial loses on “Hugo” and to a lesser extent “The Rum Diary”.
