Comic publisher Archaia has converted late “Muppets” creator Jim Henson’s unproduced “A Tale of Sand” script into a comic reports LA Weekly.
Editor-in-Chief Stephen Christy says “It’s the last and only screenplay that Henson never got to produce in his lifetime so we’re bringing it to life as a graphic novel.” Both Henson’s daughter Lisa and The Jim Henson Company’ archivist have worked on the project.
The comic itself reportedly utilises a font made from Henson’s own handwriting so it’ll look like “Henson hand-lettered the book himself” says Christy. The comic hits stores November 16th.
