Lindelof Adapts “Leftovers” For HBO

Former “Lost” show runner and “Prometheus” scribe Damon Lindelof is developing a small-screen adaptation of Tom Perrotta’s novel “The Leftovers” for HBO and Warner Bros. Television says The Live Feed.

The story revolves around the Rapture and follows a group of people who are left behind in a suburban community after the sudden departure of more than one hundred people. They attempt to rebuild their lives after the mysterious disappearance.

Lindelof will co-write the project with Perrotta and serve as showrunner. Perotta, Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger will executive produce.
