Mangold, Konrad Teaming For “Juliet”

Tree Line Films and Montecito Picture Company are set to produce an adaptation of the Anne Fortier novel “Juliet” at Paramount Pictures says Deadline.

The story follows a young adult woman who learns she is a descendant of one of the feuding families made infamous in Romeo and Juliet.

She travels to Italy and discovers that a 600-year-old curse has tied her fate to that of literature’s greatest lovers. Chad and Dara Creasey are penning the script.

James Mangold is slated to direct while Cathy Konrad, Tom Pollock, Ali Bell and Ivan Reitman will produce. Mangold is booked to next direct “The Wolverine” for Fox.
