Mike Medavoy has optioned Christopher Buehlman’s horror novel “Those Across The River” says Deadline.
Set in a small Georgian town in 1935, the story follows a WWI veteran who moves there with his new wife after they inherit his family home.
Setting out to write a book about his evil plantation owner grandfather, he soon realizes strange things going on including residents that are being killed and eaten.
Williams is attached to write the script and direct the film. Medavoy and Akiva Goldsman will produce.
