The team behind the HBO miniseries “Mildred Pierce” are looking to be re-teaming for the drama series “Dope” reports Deadline.
Director Todd Haynes and executive producers John Wells and Christine Vachon are coming to gather for this adaptation of Sara Gran’s novel which Gran herself is scripting.
Set in New York around 1950, the story centers on a woman who reenters her life after being away at the farm to treat her heroin addiction and becomes a private eye.
Julianne Moore is said to be circling the lead role in the project. Moore recently shot the HBO 2008 Presidential election-themed TV movie “Game Change” in which she plays Sarah Palin.
