A seventh production blog has gone online for Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”, this one taking fans behind-the-scenes at Stone Street Studios in Wellington where the non-location scenes are being shot.
Jackson, James Nesbitt, Luke Evans and various staffers take us through all the major departments including assorted production offices, the art department, modelling & miniatures, hair & makeup, costuming, the four key sound stages where shooting is taking place, and Weta Workshop. Look out for a fun cameo at the end.
The city of Wellington has been a big part of the making of these films, so those involved are giving back and have announced that the film will have its world premiere there on November 28th – two weeks ahead of its release in the United States on December 14th.
