Allan Loeb (“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” “21”) has penned the script “San Andreas: 3D”, a big budget 3D earthquake disaster epic at New Line reports The Los Angeles Times.
The story involves a father forced to go on the road to reconcile with his children and his estranged wife, who’s moved away and taken up with another man in Los Angeles. Along the way the mother of all earthquake rips along the San Andreas fault line from California to Nevada, and then reaches out beyond – destroying much of the west coast in the process.
Beau Flynn (“Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D,” the “Red Dawn” remake) is producing and directors are currently being sought. The last time Los Angeles was memorably smashed apart on screen by an earthquake was in Roland Emmerich’s disaster epic “2012”.
