“Coriolanus” producer Julia Taylor-Stanley and “Senna” writer Manish Pandey are teaming for a $ 60 million drama about the Ferrari racing team at Artemis Films says Screen Daily.
The story will concentrate on famed drivers Mike Hawthorn and Peter Collins along with the racing brand’s history in the late 1950s and early 1960s which is described as a “very tragic period”. A love triangle element is also being incorporated.
Taylor-Stanley says that the project is moving very fast and they are “already talking to an A-list director and have some financing committed”. The project is being set up as a UK-Italy co-production with shooting to take place in both countries.
