He was linked last week, now “X-Men” and “X2” director Bryan Singer has closed his deal to return to the director’s chair of the franchise with “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” at 20th Century Fox.
Singer penned the treatment for and produced last year’s inventive prequel/reboot “X-Men: First Class” which was directed by Matthew Vaughn. On ‘Days’, the pair are swapping positions with Vaughn penning the treatment and producing while Singer will sit in the director’s chair.
Lauren Shuler Donner is also back as producer, while Simon Kinberg has turned Vaughn’s outline into an already completed screenplay. Shooting aims to begin early next year to have the film ready in time for a July 18th 2014 release.
