The first trailer has arrived for “Skyfall”, the much-anticipated third outing of Daniel Craig as James Bond. While I’m not a fan of the BANG-BANG audio motif, the teaser itself looks great and quite epic considering only part of the film was shot when this was assembled.
Those worried that Sam Mendes’ vow of returning to the classic Bond tropes means a sacrifice of the ‘grit’ of the previous two Craig films should be assuaged by this. Glossy, dark and intense seem to be key words here. Beautifully colourful and rich shot compositions without a shaky cam in sight – glorious.
