We’ve previous heard of James Cameron considering at least one and likely two more “Avatar” films, but today comes word that there might be more than that.
Out doing press for her stint on USA Network’s “Political Animals”, Sigourney Weaver spoke with Showbiz 411 about the series and touched briefly upon the “Avatar” follow-ups.
To be fair reporter Roger Friedman is the one that suggests a new trilogy, saying once she finishes a stint in a play at Lincoln Center, Weaver “films ‘Avatar’ 2, 3, and 4 with James Cameron. That’s right: they’re making three sequels to the blue 3D phenom all at the same time.”
Weaver apparently says she has no idea how long it will take, or how it’s going to work, the only quote listed in the article from her is “I just show up”.
