TV News: Thrones, Gold, Women, Dead

Game of Thrones
HBO has updated its official production diary site to include the first image from the set of the third season which is currently filming in Northern Ireland. [Source: Making Of Game of Thrones]

White Gold
Red Arrow Entertainment and UK Channel 4 are teaming up with “Primeval” co-creator Adrian Hodges on a 12-part TV series based on Giles Milton’s 2005 historical novel “White Gold.”

The story is an account of the Barbary Corsair pirates and the white slave trade in North Africa throughout the 17th and 18th centuries. The lead character is a young Cornish merchant who ends up bering sold to the sultan of Morocco. [Source: Variety]

When the Women Come Out to Dance
USA Network has ordered to pilot an adaptation of an Elmore Leonard short story from the anthology “When the Women Come Out to Dance” which “Numb3rs” co-creators Cheryl Heuton and Nicolas Falacci will produce.

The story centers on a Miami businessman running for political office who tries to increase his election chances by marrying a Columbian woman on the run from her troubled past. Things escalate when his new wife proves to be more resourceful at “fixing” any problem the corrupt, South Miami political scene throws at her husband. [Source: The Live Feed]

The Walking Dead
We’re only a month away from the highly anticipated third season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” premiering, and Yahoo have released four new images showcasing returning cast members and David Morrissey’s The Governor. Also today comes a swank new trailer:
