Waterman Entertainment is developing a feature film based on the classic 1960s TV series comedy “Mr. Ed”.
The company, which has been aggressively seeking out family-friendly brands with franchise potential, is the latest to take a crack at adapting the property.
The live-action film will feature a real horse with a CG-animated mouth to convey his capability of speech. It joins Waterman’s quickly growing stable ahem of combination live action and CG animated family fare.
Almost a year ago Fox 2000 picked up the rights for their own version – one which obviously never came to fruition.
