On Sunday September 11 at 4 pm, hundreds are expected to converge at Christ Church Cathedral in the heart of downtown Vancouver to share prayers from around the world, meditation and soulful songs. HumanKindan evening of help and hope for East Africa is a free event, presented by the Art of Living Foundation, in collaboration with Christ Church Cathedral and numerous cultural and religious organizations throughout the city. It is expected to attract over 500 people.

The program will include members of the Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Hindu and Muslim faiths along with representatives from Vancouver’s African and First Nations communities sharing short prayers, followed by uplifting songs performed by local and international groups including the Universal Gospel Choir. The event will conclude with a candlelight vigil.
