A Korean Airlines jet has reportedly been forced to land at CFB Comox after “in-flight emergency.”

Fighter jets have reportedly forced a Korean airlines flight to make an emergency landing in Comox.

A statement from the air force confirms Korean airlines flight 72 has landed at the Comox Forces Base, and that crews are reponsing to some sort of an in-flight emergency.

There are reports a threat of some sort was made on the plane, and CF18 jets were used to escort it to land.

The flight, which had taken off from Vancouver, was en-route to Seoul, South Korea with more than 140 passengers on-board.

It was apparently turned around over the Queen Charlotte Islands.
