It’s coming as soon as possible.
That according to Finance Minister Kevin Falcon, who says staff are still hard at work on legislation to officially switch from the HST back to the PST.
Falcon said “what i can assure the public of is that the moment it is ready to be introduced in the house, it will be introduced forthwith, the house leader has cooperated in making the bill the top priority of government so all the legislative drafters are focused number one on getting that bill done and i am hopeful to get it introduced as soon as I possibly can.”
Question “this session?”
Falcon responds “oh absolutely.”
There only 12 days left in the spring session of the legislature.
The actual transition back to the PST won’t happen until next spring.
