Calling it a strong vote of confidence, BC Teachers Federation President Susan Lambert has announced 73% of her members have voted in favor of the union’s action plan to fight Bill 22.
29,000 of the union’s 41,000 members voted.
The plan calls for a withdrawl of all extracurricular activities, a public awareness campaign to mobilize opposition to the legislation, and the possibility of a future vote on a full-scale strike, which would be illegal.
