Abbotsford Police are on scene where a body was found on the side of the road this morning.
Constable Ian MacDonald says they got a call just after ten this morning for what was thought to be a person in distress.
He says, “Members on scene have confirmed that it appears to be a deceased person just off the roadway on Riverside Road near King Road. We have Patrol Officers and Major Crime Unit detectives on scene and we hope to have some more information as we move forward”
Asked if the death is suspicious, MacDonald says it certainly isn’t normal for anyone to stumble on a body at the side of a road.
He says more details will be released a little later today when investigators get a handle on the situation.
