No jail time for Monty Robinson.
The disgraced former Mountie has been handed a 12 month conditional sentence… which includes one month house arrest.
In sentencing, Justice Janice Dillon says incarcerating him would require protective custody, and she believes the principles of deterrence and denunciation can be adhered to by giving him strict conditions.
She is also ordering him to write a letter of apology to the family of victim Orion Hutchinson even if they refuse to accept it.
