Liberal MLA Ron Cantelon has changed his mind and says he will not run for re-election in May.
The Parksville-Qualicum MLA tells his local newspaper it’s time to move on and make way for fresh blood.
Cantelon announced in August he would run for a third term, despite suffering a heart attack in 2011.
He was first elected in 2005.
