Aboriginal job-seekers are being sought-out by the Cities of Vancouver and Surrey to participate in a new program aimed at finding them employment.
The partnership with the Aboriginal Community Career Employment Services Society will train participants for various clerical jobs, “We’re always seeking opportunities to, particularly with the aboriginal community, increase the extent to which that community is represented in our work force.”
Paul Mochre with the City of Vancouver, says the city has the third-largest urban aboriginal population in the country.
