COPE executive steps aside

Vancouver’s COPE is without an Executive Director. Alvin Singh is leaving the job after two years.

Despite a battering in last November’s civic election, Singh insists he still has faith in the once-dominant party, “I’m not concerned at all about the future of the party, and my departure is in no way reflective of me being unhappy or anything like that. This is just a good time for the organization to bring somebody in that’s new.”

A new Executive Director will likely be in place by June.
