Despite the Coroner’s Jury findings, 10-year-old Eric Tran reads out a statement to the media to show his family is still hurting. His dad, Ut Van Tran, was one of the workers who died at the Langley mushroom farm in 2008.
“I want my dad back. give my dad back to my mom. money won’t bring him back. It won’t heal the scars.”
Her 11-year-old sister, Pearl, says her dad meant everything to her, “I can wish for him to come back, but I can wish for this to never happen again to any other families because I know (how) it feels to have that special someone leave our lives.”
She says he was her hero and role model.
