Former deputy Minister beats former Vancouver Councilor for Vancouver Quilchena Liberal nomination

A lawyer, licensed physician and former Deputy Minister of Economic Development will be the BC Liberal candidate for Vancouver Quilchena.

Andrew Wilkinson won the nomination Sunday night.

He was up against former Vancouver City Councilor Suzanne Anton.

Wilkinson thanked Anton, adding the party has a renewed team, a strong leader and momentum.

He will be facing off against NDP candidate Nicholas Scapillati.

Current Liberal MLA Colin Hansen, who has held the riding since 1996, announced he will not be running in the next election.
