It’s a hot weekend on the South Coast, but not hot enough for the City of Vancouver to implement its “extreme heat response plan.”
Although, Deputy City Manager Sadhu Johnston says components of it will be rolled out.
“We’ll have some misting stations at certainly drinking fountains out and about over the weekend that we put where lots of people are going to be. And we’ll have some community centres that are available for cooling if people need them… and we’ll be keeping an eye out for people by putting our own staff on alert.”
Inland temperatures are expected to climb above 30 degrees this weekend.
