A Vancouver City Councillor is hoping her original plan doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.
Adriane Carr says her motion to crack down on cigarette butts was passed at City Council but only after a Vision Vancouver amendment to expand the plans to all litter,”The motion is much more complicated, but I voted for it because embedded in it, in the expansion, to cover off all kinds of various forms of litter, still remains the action that would be taken on cigarette butt containers.”
Carr worries the expanded motion will lose its initial focus.
