Premier Christy Clark will be among the crowd as the “Man in Motion” officially marks the 25th anniversary of the end of his world tour Tuesday.
Rick Hansen will end his journey outside BC Place stadium, where he finished his first quest back in 1987.
Hansen says the 273 day anniversary tour has brought back a flurry of memories.
“This was way before they had internet, GPS, cell phones… and just trying to put it all together with our little band of committed team members, it’s a miracle somehow that we managed to complete the journey and it’s such a blessing that we were able to contibute, because so many people got behind us.”
The anniversary relay has passed through more than 600 communities across the country.
