A high-profile politician from the Gordon Campbell era says he’ll lets us know “very soon” whether he plans to seek re-election next year.
Colin Hansen claims he hasn’t made up his mind yet.
“I plan to get a nice bottle of BC VQA wine and Laura and I will sit down with a piece of paper and on one half will be pros and the other half will be cons and maybe by the time we finish the bottle of wine we’ll have made the decision.”
A number of Hansen’s colleagues have bowed out over the past two weeks, but the MLA for Vancouver-Quilchena says he’s always planned to make his decision by mid to late September.
A former finance minister and deputy premier, Hansen has served as a back bencher in the Christy Clark government.
