Will it be an early spring, or another six weeks of winter?
That’s the question groundhogs across North America will be determining today.
And if rodent prognosticators Shubenacadie Sam, Balzac Billy or Canada’s most celebrated groundhog, Wiarton Willie see their shadow, it will be a long winter.
But, if it’s cloudy where the groundhog celebrations are held in Nova Scotia, Alberta, or Ontario, amongst other areas, superstitions say spring is imminent.
BC will have to rely on other groundhog predictions, as there are none located West of Alberta.
