One man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in a Fraser Valley prison.
The inmate was reportedly stabbed in the Matsqui Institution by another inmate.
Staff at the prison refused to answer questions from ‘NW preferring to wait until Thursday during business hours.
It’s not known if the facility is locked down during the investigation but that’s normal procedure.
It’s also not known what led to the violence or what the wounded prisoner’s condition is.
