The president of the BC Teachers’ Federation has been re-elected.
Susan Lambert is now preparing for what could be the fight of her career.
The teachers union is still deciding whether to stage what would be illegal job action in protest of Bill 22.
Lambert says we won’t know until Wednesday morning exactly what delegates at the BCTF annual convention have decided on.
If teachers do decide to walk off the job, individual teachers and the union itself would face heavy fines.
Lambert has defeated Rick Guenther in a vote for the union’s top job.
