The pipeline dialogue did not flow smoothly

Pipeline opponents at an open house in Victoria Wednesday night say they were stunned when Kinder Morgan officials promptly packed up and left the event.

Dozens showed up to share their concerns about the company’s proposal to expand it’s Trans Mountain Pipeline.

Jeanette Sheehy says some started taking down Kinder Morgan posters and posting their own, and that’s when the representatives went into another room and would not continue the discussion, “People were kind of trying to talk to them through the door and kind of be like, come out, we have other things to tell you; and they basically, pretty much weren’t coming back into the room. And then eventually, they left.”

Sheey says it made the company look unable to handle the risks of expanding a pipeline.

No comment yet from Kinder Morgan.
