Langley man dies after being hit by train

A night of drinking ended in death for a 50-year old man in Fort Langley.

R.C.M.P. Staff Sergeant Kevin Wass says the man was hit by a train shortly before 2:00am, after wandering onto the tracks near Glover Road and Mavis Street.

“The investigation revealed the male was struck by the westbound train when he stood in its path. The male had been drinking with friends throughout the night. CN Rail and BC Coroners’ Office are involved in the investigation as well.”

The man’s name has not been released.
